Chung graduated from Sungkyunkwan University and earned further degrees at the University of Texas (master’s) and at Cornell (doctorate) in genetic engineering before he established Caregen in 2001.
The company has successfully developed biological growth factors, biomimetic peptides and active ingredients that can be applied to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, and holds a number of patents.
