[THE INVESTOR] Web portal operator Naver has expanded its partnerships with motel-booking app operators Yanolja and WithInnovation to provide motel information and booking services.

Naver and Yanolja have been in partnership since 2013, providing a vast amount of motel information, including locations and pictures of the motels.

With the renewed partnership, Yanolja said it would increase the accommodation options available on the Naver web portal to more than 5,000.

The start-up offers on the web portal a range of tailored information on the best deals and motel rooms fitted with the “Internet of Things,” which connects mobile devices with other electronics and sensors. It also runs events, such as a no-spy-cam campaign,

Such lodging information will also be available on Naver’s map service, which will allow Naver users to book motels online.

“Yanolja, a leading online-to-offline firm, will try to cater to the diverse needs of customers by utilizing the largest database of small and medium-sized accommodations,” Kim Jong-yoon, an executive vice president at the firm, said.
