[THE INVESTOR] KB Kookmin Bank said on Friday it opened a new foreign investor support center in southern Seoul in a bid to increase convenience for overseas investors when they are considering investments in Korea.

The new center is located at the KB Insurance building on the Teheran Road in Gangnam, which will be a new hub for foreign investment connecting them with Korean businesses.

The bank plans to provide one-stop services ranging from legal, taxation to financial services regarding making investments in the country. Consultants in each sector will offer those services at the center.

“The bank has been enhancing infrastructure for foreign investors as their role in the Korean economy has been growing,” said a bank spokesman. “The new center in Gangnam will help KB’s contribution to the foreign direct investment market.”

KB Securities, which will merge with Hyundai Securities by the end of the year, will take part in the consultations for foreign investors.

“Synergy effects will be maximized by tapping into a variety of business lineups that each KB affiliate has, including the new KB Securities,” the spokesman said.
