[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics
said on Jan. 1 that it would showcase artificial intelligence-powered assistant robots at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show that kicks off in Las Vegas on Jan. 5.
A range of different robots are expected to be unveiled, including those designed to help housework such as gardening and housekeeping or support public services at airports and hotels.
The company said the robots move in an autonomous manner and find the most efficient way to complete ordered tasks.
“LG has been preparing to enter the robot business for years with expertise in autonomous technologies used in its appliances such as vacuum cleaners,” the company said in a statement. “The business will be expanded from homes to the public sector.”
