[THE INVESTOR] Four out of every 10 households will have just one member by 2050, due to an increase in the number of seniors and unmarried people, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation said, based on the data from Statistics Korea.

The population will start to drop from 52.5 million in 2030 to 47.6 million in 2050.

The number of homes nationwide will continue to increase to nearly 30 million units in 2050, which would lead to oversupply problems, with some 10.1 percent of them being empty by that time.
