STX releases US$644m contract guarantee
[DISCLOSURE] STX (011810) is seeking to return the US$644.4 million contract guarantee for STX Shipbuilding on condition of issuing assurance against defaults, it announced on Jan. 10.
“This amount is equal to the US$695 million contract price of STX Offshore and Shipbuilding with BP Shipping in December 2012, for 13 ships excluding the one canceled,” the company said.
STX provided US$5.30 million deposit to Korea Development Bank for issuance of the guarantee.
