[GRAPHIC NEWS] Men play to compete, women to complete
[THE INVESTOR] Gamers' motivation differ by gender with males playing for the thrill of competition while females play in order to complete it, according to a survey by video game consultancy Quantic Foundry.
Despite the differences, completion being in the top three for both genders means completion is the low-risk high reward motivation, according to Quantic Foundry.
The "Gamer Motivation Profile" survey was conducted on some 239,000 respondents in 191 countries.
