Nexen Tire sets up JV in Japan with Toyota affiliate
[THE INVESTOR] Nexen Tire announced on Jan. 16 that it has launched a joint venture in Japan with Toyota Tsusho, an affiliate of the Japanese carmaker, and opened an office in southern Tokyo.
Nexen will own 51 percent stake and Toyota the remaining stake of the company named Nexen Tire Japan, through which the partners will secure a stable sales network in Japan, promote brand awareness, and develop new business models in regions outside Japan, according to Nexen Tire.
