[THE INVESTOR] Nearly 3,000 KB Kookmin Bank employees have opted for voluntary retirement, the bank announced on Jan. 19.
According to the bank, 2,795 workers have opted for the voluntary retirement program, cutting the bank’s payroll by more than 10 percent from the previous 20,000.
This is the second largest batch of workers leaving the bank through the program since 2010, when 3,244 employees left the company.
The program, which offers up to 36-month pay, was open to employees who have been with the bank for 10 or more years.
