LG to roll out new smartwatch models in Feb.
[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics will unveil two smartwatch models featuring Google’s new operating system in February, an industry source said on Jan. 25.
Co-developed with Google, the two models with the Android Wear 2.0 operating system will be released at an annual technology fair, the Mobile World Congress show, in Spain, according to the source.
The two models -- LG Sport with a 1.38-inch OLED display and LG Style with a 1.2-inch OLED display -- are believed to be equipped with Google‘s voice assistant system, Google Assistant.
Officials at LG declined to comment on when the new smartwatches will be available for sale.
