[THE INVESTOR] The Global Business Center planned by Hyundai Motor Group to be located in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, is expected to be elevated in height form the original 553 meters to 569 meters.

That will surpass Lotte World Tower, standing at 555 meters, the highest in the country that has nearly completed construction in Jamsil, southern Seoul.

The planned height of the GBC had undergone several revisions during preliminary negotiations with the Seoul City governmnet since the project was first  revealed in 2015.

The GBC will sit on some 79,341 square meters of land that will encompass a 105-meter-high observatory, along with a 2,000-seat auditorium and a sunken square.

Surrounding the GBC will be a 35-floor hotel and business facilities, along with a performance hall and exhibition and convention centers. The group aims to complete construction by 2021.
