[THE INVESTOR] South Korea‘s export volume reached $495.5 billion last year, declining by 5.9 percent from 2015, according to data by the World Trade Organization. It is the second consecutive year of a backtrack. It is the country’s first two consecutive years of export decline in 58 years, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The country’s ranking has also receded two spots to come at eighth among the top 10 export countries from the 6th in 2015.
