[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics' Dacor unveiled a new lineup of premium built-in appliances on March 16, the first product launch since the Korean tech giant acquired the US luxury kitchen brand last year.
“This new product lineup is the first result of synergies between Samsung and Dacor,” Yoon Boo-keun, Samsung’s appliance chief and one of the three co-CEOs, said at the unveiling event held in New York.

Yoon added Samsung and Dacor will continue to blend high-end technology with premium features to create a suite of kitchen appliances.
Samsung acquired Dacor in September last year to expand its share in the soaring US luxury appliance market.
The new kitchen products, called “The Modernist Collection,” consist of refrigerators, ranges, ovens, cook-tops and other products. The entire lineup is priced at about US$50,000.
Amid the protectionist threats from the Donald Trump administration, industry sources say Samsung is considering expanding its production facilities in the US, including Dacor’s plant in Los Angeles.
