[THE INVESTOR] Green Cross announced on March 20 that it has won a US$37 million order from Pan American Health Organization to supply influenza vaccines.
This is the largest order for the South Korean pharmaceutical company which has accumulated orders worth US$200 million from overseas since it started exporting flu vaccines six years ago.
Since 2014, Green Cross has been overshadowing multinational rivals in the bid to supply vaccines for PAHO, one of the major purchasers in the world. PAHO is an international public health agency that also serves as regional office of the World Health Organization.
Green Cross is the country’s second-largest pharmaceutical company that posted 1.20 trillion won (US$1.07 billion) in revenue last year and is the market leader of vaccines.
