Stocks of 118 listed firms hit all-time highs

[THE INVESTOR] Shares of 118 Korean listed companies hit all-time highs this year, data showed on April 24.

The benchmark KOSPI index had gained 5.9 percent from Jan. 2 to April 17, while the secondary KOSDAQ index fell 0.41 percent in the same period.

According to the data by the Korea Exchange, 37 firms listed on the KOSPI market saw their stocks hit all-time highs in 2017.

The average stock price of the 37 KOSPI-listed firms jumped 36.13 percent during the period.

In the KOSDAQ market, shares of 81 firms hit all-time highs this year, with their average stock price climbing 14.71 percent, according to the data.
