Hyundai Motor on May 19 launched the upgraded 2017 Accent at a competitive price.
The Accent subcompact went on sale in the domestic market earlier in the day, the country’s biggest carmaker said in a statement.
On top of the basic four-door Accent and five-door Accent Wit trims, the Value Plus model has been added to the four-door trim this time around. The two trim models are available equipped with either a 1.4-liter gasoline engine or a 1.6-liter diesel engine, the statement said.
The company applied features that include 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking assist system, and advanced door locking systems to the 1.4-liter Value Plus model, it said.
The Accent, formerly called the Verna domestically, carries a price tag below 12 million won (US$10,600).
