[THE INVESTOR] NHN Entertainment will benefit the most when the new administration eases regulations, said Samsung Securities on June 15, raising the target price to 97,000 won (US$86.28) from 80,000 won.
Its revenue from the highly profitable web board games surged 50 percent on-year since the regulations were alleviated last year, but quarterly revenue will be 30-40 billion won, half the amount before enforcement, said analyst O Dong-hwan.
With sunset provision in February next year, or changed regulations, its revenue could recover, said the analyst.
As the marketing cost for Payco decreases, its operating profit will improve significantly from the second quarter, noted O, adding that its transactions surpasses that of KakaoPay.
