[THE INVESSTOR] Samsung Electronics said on July 21 that it will hold its next Unpacked event for unveiling the next-generation Galaxy Note 8 at New York’s Park Avenue Armory on Aug. 23.

In the invitations sent out to the press, the tech company depicted what appears to be the outline of the Note 8 and a stylus, along with the slogan, “Do bigger things.”

The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature edge-to-edge display measuring up to 6.3 inches, a dual-lens rear-facing camera, and a 3,300 mAh battery.

The new Note will likely serve as a test bed for Samsung, which is struggling to restore faith in its signature Galaxy brand following the unprecedented recall of the fire-prone Note 7 in 2016.

The company recently rolled out the refurbished version of Note 7, renamed as the Note Fan Edition, earlier this month in Korea.

Samsung’s mobile division chief Koh Dong-jin said at a press event in Taiwan on July 14 that the sale of Note 8 will start in September in some nations, including the US, UK and Korea.
