[THE INVESTOR] US online shopping giant eBay has named two Koreans -- Jay Lee and Park Joo-man -- to lead its Europe and Asia-Pacific operations, respectively.

The reshuffle took place on Aug. 23 after Hal Lawton, the firm’s North American chief, resigned for a position at Macy’s.

Following his departure, eBay has announced three new regional heads for North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Lee began his career at eBay Korea in 2002 as CEO and led the APAC region from 2005. He is credited with playing a key role in nurturing eBay as the No. 1 e-commerce firm in countries like Korea and Australia. The Korean unit that owns the nation’s top two online shopping sites Gmarket and Auction sees about 14 trillion won in annual transactions.

Park who led the Korean unit after Lee’s departure has been leading eBay Australia since 2013.
