Samsung Electronics said the two smartwatches are the first Gear series to win waterproof approval from 5-ATM rating, allowing users to use the products in swimming pools. The water-lock mode prevents the devices from being activated by current, it added.

Under the partnership with Speedo, a global swimwear producer, the devices are also equipped with an application dubbed Speedo On, which analyzes users‘ activities during swimming.

The Gear Sport comes with 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, with the Samsung Health application providing users with various workout-related tips. The Gear Fit2 Pro comes with a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, along with a Global Positioning System (GPS) program.

The cord-free earphone, the Gear IconX 2018, allows users not only to enjoy music, but also keeps track of users’ exercise-related information. Users can also activate smartphones equipped with voice recognition system through the product.

Samsung also promoted premium Frame TVs during the event. It showcased the 43-inch Frame TV, saying that the product will hit Europe, Russia, and the United States down the road. It also introduced QuickDrive, a washer which operates faster, as well as POWERstick PRO, a wireless vacuum cleaner.
