[THE INVESTOR] Wise UX Global, best known for its premium chicken breast brand I’m Dak, confirmed on Sept. 29 that it selling a majority stake to Korea Investment Partners and Credian Partners for a combined 35 billion won (US$30.50 million).

“The deal was struck a few days ago, and we perceive it in a positive light,” a Wise UX Global spokesperson told The Investor. But she declined to give details of the stake size, and how much company founder Yoon Jung-will retain. The founder is expected to retain a minority stake and stay on as advisor.

Wise UX, which has two brands I’m Dak and I’m Well, offers delivery services of premium chicken breast products and salad boxes to customers, most of them health-conscious young people.

The firm reported 29.1 billion won in sales and 5.8 billion won in operating profit last year. In the first half of this year alone, its sales are estimated to have seen more than 20 percent grown compared to a year ago.
