[THE INVESTOR] SKC Kolon PI will reap record earnings in the third quarter, said Hanwha Investment and Securities on Oct. 13, maintaining a “buy” recommendation and 38,000 won (US$33.66) target price.

Its revenue in the period is likely to have hiked 32 percent on-year to 54.6 billion won and operating profit 74 percent to 15.2 billion won, both topping its record, said analyst Kim Byeong-gi.

PI films are more widely used -- from flexible OLED to 5G IT equipment -- and its new manufacturing line that began operations in the latter half last year will soon reach full capacity, noted the analyst. As it gets closer to the year-end, its appeal for high dividend yield, which was 65 percent last year, will be highlighted too, he added.
