[THE INVESTOR] The state-run Korea Power Electric Corp. said on Nov. 9 it has struck a 2.6 trillion won (US$2.3 billion) deal to build a coal-fired power plant in Vietnam.
The Korean power provider led a consortium with Japan’s Marubeni to win the 1,200-megawatt power plant deal in the Nghi Son 2 economic zone in the central province of Thanh Hoa.
KEPCO said it will break the ground within this year and complete construction by the end of 2021.
