Inside Fintech to highlight blockchain, payments and AI

[THE INVESTOR] The Inside Fintech Conference & Expo, one of the most influential fintech events in the region, will kick off its two-day run on Nov. 30, bringing industry leaders from global tech firms and financial institutions to Korea.

Over 2,000 experts from 35 countries, including Google, Visa, Microsoft, HSBC, IBM and other top-tier firms, will gather at KINTEX in Goyang, outskirts of Seoul, to discuss blockchain technology, as well as various fintech innovations. 




Themed “Empowering Blockchain and Fintech Innovation,” this year’s edition will cover a wide-range of topics, including blockchain, big data, disruption in payments, AI, cloud computing, wealth management, e-commerce and security.

Cloud computing expert Mauro Sauco from Google will kick off the conference on Nov. 30 as a keynote speaker for the session titled “Redefining Financial Services Through the AI and ML Cloud.” Other notable speakers include” Hyundai Pay CEO Kim Byung-chul; Kakao Bank CTO Jung Guedon; Park Se-youl, senior IT architect from IBM Korea; Lee Dong-bum, architect from Microsoft; Alejandro De la Torre, vice president of BTC.com; Ella Qiang, director of Stellar Development Foundation; and Sean Shin, CEO of Dayli Financial Group.

In addition to the conference, there will be an exhibition hall, inviting over 40 sponsors and fintech firms presenting their top-tier products and services.

The forum, organized by KINTEX and US-based Rising Media, is in its fourth year which originated from “Inside Bitcoin” in 2014.
