[THE INVESTOR] Renault Samsung Motors said on Dec. 1 its November sales moved up 0.8 percent from a year earlier on strong exports.
The carmaker sold 25,759 vehicles last month, down from 25,550 units a year ago, Renault Samsung said in a statement.
Domestic sales plunged 34 percent to 8,302 units from 12,565. But exports soared 34.4 percent to 17,457 autos from 12,985, it said.
Robust exports of the SM6 midsize sedan and the QM6 SUV helped the carmaker’s overall sales results, the statement said.
For the January-December period, the company sold a combined 250,293 units, up 11 percent from 224,729 in the same period last year.
