[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor said on Dec. 1 its November sales fell 10.4 percent from a year earlier due to weaker overseas demand.
Hyundai Motor sold 422,940 vehicles in November, down from 472,015 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
“An economic slowdown in some markets drove down Hyundai Motor’s exports from plants in Korea and shipments from its global production facilities,” the statement said.
Domestic sales rose 12.8 percent on-year to 63,895 cars last month from 56,632. But overseas sales dropped 13.6 percent to 359,045 from 415,383 during the same period, it said.
In the January-November period, Hyundai saw its sales decline 6.1 percent to 4.1 million units from 4.4 million a year earlier.
