Dongbu Daewoo releases new washers, ovens in Malaysia

[THE INVESTOR] Dongbu Daewoo Electronics said on Dec. 6 it has introduced new lineups of customized washing machines and ovens in Malaysia.

The company has released follow-up versions of its Batik Care Washer and ovens tailored to handle Malaysia’s traditional delicate handmade fabrics called batik with care and cook Southeast Asian cuisines properly.

Dongbu Daewoo said it has sold more than 10,000 units of Batik Care Washers since last year, and sales of the customized ovens have risen sharply in recent months.

The company said it is also expanding the sales network of its products in Malaysia in close cooperation with local distributors, adding it aims to achieve US$100 million in sales in the Malaysian market by 2020.
