[THE INVESTOR] Don Tapscott, a leading futurist and co-author of the best-selling book “Blockchain Revolution,” will be speaking at a forum in Seoul on Jan. 17, according to organizers. 

Tapscott will deliver the keynote address at the conference entitled “Blockchain Revolution: Convergence with Traditional Economy,” to be held at Seoul Dragon City hotel in central Seoul. The forum is being hosted by Swiss blockchain startup Jibrel Network and sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Economic Daily. 

“The purpose of this forum is to apply blockchain into the traditional economy to solve current financial problems and share future prospects of blockchain, by shedding light on its positive aspects of blockchain, rather than the negative side of cryptocurrency exchanges,” Jibrel Network said in a statement.

Tapscott is the CEO of Tapscott Group and has written over 15 books about new technologies and media, including “Wikinomics,” and the latest “Blockchain Revolution: How the Technology Behind Bitcoin is Changing Money, Business, and the World,” which he co-wrote with his son Alex Tapscott. 

Other speakers include Yazan Barghunthi, CEO of Jibrel Network, Da Hongfei, co-founder and CEO of Chinese blockchain firm NEO and Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Shanghai-based cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
