[THE INVESTOR] The US-based wearable maker Fitbit said on Jan. 22 it will launch its latest smartwatch equipped with GPS in Korea later this week.
The Ionic, which comes with a large full color display and a lightweight body designed for the workout, will hit local shelves this week, the company said.
The fitness tracker, which was first unveiled to the public in August last year, has numerous fitness features, including a heart rate sensor on the rear.
The watch is also waterproof up to 50 meters underwater and can store 300 songs that can be downloaded through various local music streaming websites.
The Ionic is priced at 429,000 won (US$402).
