The Korean unit of US health care firm Baxter International said on March 2 it has named former executive Hyun Dong-wook as its new general manger.
Hyun had previously worked in the same position at the firm between 2004 and 2008.
“Hyun’s extensive leadership experience in the global pharmaceutical and medical device industries for some 30 years will help lead Baxter’s continuous growth and realize its goal of saving more lives,” the company said in a statement.
Before rejoining Baxter Korea, Hyun worked as the global brand leader of US MSD’s global Human Papillomavirus Vaccine business and was managing director at MSD Korea. He studied biology and bioscience at the University of California San Diego.
Established in 1991, Baxter Korea runs renal and hospital product businesses with some 270 employees.
