[THE INVESTOR] Chung Woo-young, president of Honda Korea, has been appointed as chairman of an industry association which represents the makers of imported cars in Korea, the industry lobby said on April 2.
Chung will serve as chairman of the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association for two years from April 2018, KAIDA said in a statement.
“The association expects Chung will be capable of resolving pending issues facing imported carmakers and represent their positions in a balanced and cooperative manner,” the statement said.
Chung, 69, began his career in the auto industry in 1976 and has headed Honda Motor’s Korea operation since 2003, it said.
