[THE INVESTOR] The operator of the mobile financial transaction application Toss said on April 9 it has released a new service in which users can trade stocks listed on overseas bourses, paving the way for users to invest in foreign shares through simpler procedures.
Users can trade 20 foreign stocks, including Amazon and Apple, through Toss in cooperation with Shinhan Investment Corp.
Users will be able to check the Korean won prices of the stocks on a real-time basis.
The trading hours will be 8 a.m. to 9p.m. local time, and all trade requests received will be handled starting at 10:30 p.m., when the US stock market opens.
“This is a service which simplifies the complex trading procedures of overseas stocks,” the operator said, claiming the company aims to expand the scope of investment to Chinese and Vietnamese shares down the road.
