Its operating loss will come in at 16.7 billion won, as average selling price and exchange rate will decline more than expected, said analyst Park Yu-ak.
In the second quarter, the loss will expand to 138.9 billion won despite entering the high season, forecast the analyst.
Profitability of TV panels will suffer the most as the price of large TV panels produced by China’s BOE will drastically fall, said Park.
For the time being, investors should lower expectations for earnings from OLED and focus on LCD panel prices, he added.
