Samsung Electronics on May 9 showcased LED component solutions optimized for horticulture, expanding its portfolio of lighting products.
The company said the solution, named LH351B Red, provides a wavelength of 660 nanometers, claiming the wavelength is most suitable in accelerating the growth of plants and their photosynthesis.
Samsung said the new product also stands out from other rivals as its high power efficiency allows farmers to “better control temperatures in almost any greenhouse environment and save on energy costs.”
“Our horticulture LED solutions are based on LED technologies that deliver proven levels of performance and reliability across an extensive range of lighting applications,” a corporate representative said.
“By broadening our lineup to include horticulture LEDs, we are providing global luminaire manufacturers with a one-stop resource for these solutions, as well as for our many other LED technologies,” the Samsung source added.
