[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics said on May 10 it has released the latest QLED TVs in Vietnam, seeking to penetrate deeper into a market with considerable demand for large displays.

The Korean tech giant said the Vietnamese market is attractive as it has been posting two-digit annual growth every year since 2012, with the upward trend likely to continue for the time being.

Samsung said it accounted for 50 percent of the market for TVs sized 65 inches and above in Vietnam over the first quarter. The company also secured 40 percent of the country‘s combined TV market over the January-March period in terms of sales, it added.

“Samsung has been introducing new products that combine innovative technologies with local lifestyles,” the tech giant said in a statement.
