[THE INVESTOR] BMW, Mini and Honda Motor will voluntarily recall over 2,800 vehicles to fix faulty parts, the government here said on May 30.

It is the latest in a series of recalls by carmakers and importers to ensure their vehicles meet safety rules.

The two European carmakers and Japan’s Honda plan to recall 23 different models totaling 2,806 vehicles. The models include the MINI Cooper S and BMW’s X3 xDrive20d SUV, as well as the eight-seat Odyssey minivan made by Honda, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement.

The problems include the MINI Cooper S’ malfunctioning circuit board that controls an assistant coolant pump and the Odyssey’s faulty parts in the back seats, the statement said.

Vehicle owners can visit designated repair and service centers to have the parts replaced free of charge, it said.
