[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics said on June 8 it has teamed up with Denmark’s premium audio company Steinway Lyngdorf for its next-generation micro LED display, The Wall.

Touted as the world’s first modular display, The Wall boasts upgraded color purity and accuracy and is more durable than conventional display, all with less energy consumption. Its bezel-less design allows the shape and size of the 146-inch display to be adjusted for diverse commercial spaces like hotels, museums and performance halls.

The concept version was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas early this year.

Samsung said the futuristic display comes with the Danish audio maker’s top-class audio system Model B loudspeakers to offer the ultimate viewing experience. One of the key features is “Room Perfect,” a sound tuning technology for adapting the sound system to the environment.

“The Wall is Samsung’s latest symbol of true innovation,” said Kim Seong-gi, executive vice president of Samsung’s visual display business. “Through our partnership with Steinway Lyngdorf, we are pioneering a new name in digital technology and delivering an unmatched, one-of-a-kind audiovisual experience.”
