[THE INVESTOR] Korea’s leading mobile carrier SK Telecom said on June 10 that it would be teaming up with Chinese technology firm DJI on developing solutions for live streaming from drones.

The two sides inked the deal on June 8 in Shenzhen, where the Chinese firm is headquartered, SK Telecom said in a statement.

SK Telecom and DJI will jointly develop software, equipment and online applications for live streaming from drones.

The two companies will also cooperate in developing online applications for operational management for drones, according to the statement.

DJI is primarily known as a manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones, for aerial photography and videography. DJI also design and manufacture camera gimbals, flight platforms, cameras, propulsion systems, camera stabilizers, and flight control systems.
