[THE INVESTOR] Samsung Electronics said June 25 that it has expanded its Newsroom website to include sections for Taiwan and three other countries in its latest move to boost public relations in overseas markets.

The tech giant said Kazakhstan, Chile and Peru were also added to its Samsung Newsroom online platform in May and June. There are now 20 countries on Samsung Newsroom.

The firm also plans to add a Thailand section next month, and is also considering some countries in Europe and Central and South America.

The move illustrated Samsung’s efforts to strengthen public relations in overseas markets at a time when about 90 percent of its total sales are generated outside its home country.

Samsung Newsroom -- launched in 2010 -- features information and updates on its products and corporate news.

Samsung has also recently opened its first experience center, called Samsung House, in Latin America. The center, which Samsung said was inspired by the Samsung 837 center in New York, showcases and offers the best Samsung products and services.

Earlier this month, Samsung Electronics said it will open a 20,000-square-foot creative and digital playground called Samsung KX LDN in London‘s King’s Cross.

Samsung KX LDN will bring the latest technologies to life with curated experiences. The place will showcase how multiple Samsung devices and services come together to deliver a complete and harmonized experience, making consumers lives easier, more convenient and more efficient, according to Samsung.
