LG Electronics’ Styler clothing care appliance won an environmental award from a British evaluator for its water-efficient performance, the company said on July 23.
The Korean home appliance giant said Carbon Trust, a British organization that works for carbon reduction and resource efficiency, granted its personal steam clothes refresher with the Product Water Footprint certificate, acknowledging its efficiency in terms of water consumption throughout all steps from production.
The LG Styler won Product Carbon Footprint in 2016 for its efforts to cut emission of carbon dioxide.
The company said its clothing care appliance utilizes “Moving Hanger” and “TrueSteam” technologies to reduce wrinkles and odors of clothes while eradicating germs.
Without citing specific data, LG said its production of the Styler nearly doubled this year from the same period in 2017.
