[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor said on Aug. 27 it has launched the 2019 Genesis G80 with improved safety features.
All upcoming G80 models are equipped with Genesis active safety controls, such as smart cruise control with stop and start and lane departure warning.
The carmaker said a front-mounted radar sensor detects the distance to the car ahead and can automatically maintain distance and speed. After stopping, speed and distance are reengaged after the car ahead starts moving again.
It also said lane departure warning uses a front-mounted camera to read road markings and issues an audio alert if it senses the vehicle drifting or veering out of its lane.
The model with a six cylinder 3.3-liter gasoline engine is priced at between 48.99 million won (US$44,000) and 59.69 million won depending on the trim level.
