[THE INVESTOR] Pearl Abyss’ mobile game “Black Desert” is likely to be a hit in Taiwan, said Korea Investment and Securities on Aug. 29, maintaining a “buy” recommendation and 290,000 won (US$261.43) target price.
The number of presubscriptions reached 2.79 million, surpassing that of its competition “Lineage M,” and the number of downloads remains at the top. A number of Korean mobile MMORPGs have succeeded in Taiwan, and the outlook for “Black Desert” mobile version is bright. The PC version of the game is already popular, said analyst Kim Seong-eun.
“Lineage 2: Revolution,” which recorded 2 million presubscriptions in Southeast Asia reaped over 1 billion won revenue in Taiwan, and the mobile edition of “Black Desert” also will post solid earnings, the analyst forecast.
