[THE INVESTOR] IT& Basic, the operator of Korea’s top audience response system Symflow has signed a deal with leading HR company Multicampus on Dec.21.

Multicampus is a Samsung affiliate with a focus in HR areas and career-related education, such as in IT and language. In terms of sales, Multicampus stands as the country’s largest educational service provider. Its third quarter sales reached 163.6 billion won (US$145.8 million).

“We hope this deal can be an opportunity to create a platform on which we can offer top-quality educational content to companies in Korea,” said Min Kyung-wook, CEO of IT&Basic.

Based on the agreement, the two sides plan on connecting Multicampus to a wider audience of corporate customers. In particular, they will focus cross consulting for clients, in addition to collaborating on content production. Ultimately, their goal is to co-develop a next-generation corporate HR development HRD service.

IT&Basic is a startup born in 2013. At the time, there wasn’t an effective system for connecting the usually shy audience with presenters on stage. Since then, IT&Basic has opened more than 15,000 accounts for Symflow, which requires only Internet access in order to work.

Multicampus, meanwhile, is a service provider that offers mostly content for employee-training and career advancement.
