[THE INVESTOR] Lotte Asset Development said on Jan. 2 it has opened a co-working space Workflex in Yeoksam, southern Seoul.

The real estate developer of Lotte Group said the shared office area is on the seventh to ninth floors of Gangnam N-Tower, taking up 940 square meters on each floor, more than 2,800 square meters in total. The building is located at the center of Teheran Valley, dubbed Korea’s Silicon Valley, incubating many IT ventures and startup businesses.

Workflex, capable of holding 860 individuals overall, is comprised of different forms of office spaces, varying from private offices for individual workers to open-space “hot desks” for members frequently working out.

Those using the office can make a reservation for seminar rooms and lounge areas on each floor of the facility where they can hold casual and formal meetings.

The offices can be booked on a monthly basis, open for use at any time through the day.

The firm plans to build up to 50 such co-working spaces in major cities across the nation until 2030, forming an ecosystem where ventures and startups can flourish.
