LG Uplus said on Feb. 21 it will present a wide range of enterprise solutions based on 5G network during the upcoming global mobile show to explore new business opportunities.

Korea’s No. 3 mobile carrier said it will introduce business-to-business 5G solutions, including a smart factory, a remotely controlled robot, smart CCTVs and a high-definition map for autonomous cars during MWC Barcelona.

LG Uplus said it will demonstrate how a worker in Barcelona can remotely control a logistics robot in a Korean factory in real time via the ultra-fast network that promises incredibly low latency.

Sensors installed on the logistics robot can detect the work environment and alarm a manager working remotely if there‘s any abnormal signs in the factory, the company said.

Using the artificial intelligence analysis technology, its smart CCTVs can check whether visitors wear safety helmets and how long they stay in exhibition booths.

Visitors will also be able to check the real-time road information displayed on a large screen on the booth via a 5G-enabled HD map for self-driving cars.
