German luxury carmaker BMW said on May 28 it will release its new 7 Series globally in the first half of this year.

Some partial moderations have been made to the new model. Its design emphasizes luxury, innovative features and is equipped with advanced technologies, including autonomous driving and connected technology to offer a more comfortable and luxurious driving experience, the company said.

The new 7 Series also features a powerful and efficient 6, 8 and 12-cylinder petrol and diesel engine, as well as PHEV with its latest BMW eDrive system. All engines follow the new emission standards Euro 6d-Temp.

Moreover, the model is equipped with an advanced driving assistance system, including steering assistant, lane control assistant, lane change and departure warning system and parking assistant.

It also has BMW Live Cockpit Professional, which consists of a digital 12.3-inch instrument panel and 10.25-inch display that provides information about the current driving situation with images. The driver can choose between five different controlling systems -- touch display, iDrive controller, button on the steering wheel, BMW gesture control and voice control.
