SoftBank’s Son to meet Korean biz execs

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, also known as Son Jeong-Ui in South Korea, will visit Seoul on July 4 and meet with heads of conglomerates including Samsung Group’s Lee Jae-young, local media reported on July 3.

The CEO of the Japanese holding group and Lee had a meeting in September 2016 at Samsung’s headquarters in Seoul.

Son will also meet Chung Eui-sun, executive vice president of Hyundai Motor Group, and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo.

It is not clear if they will gather as a group or meet separately.

Son will also visit the presidential house Cheong Wa Dae to meet President Moon Jae-in possibly to discuss investments in Korea.
