Seoul-based law firm Yulchon said on Sept. 25 that it has wrapped up the reception events for the annual International Bar Association conference held in Seoul.

Some 1,200 attorneys across the globe gathered at the reception party, dubbed “Yulchon Sunset Cocktail Reception” Sept. 24 at its headquarters in Parnas Tower, which is adjacent to the venue for IBA conference, Coex, located in southern Seoul. This was followed by “Sunday Drinks After Dark Party,” which was also attended by 1,000 people.

These came along with the six-day event, held for the first time in South Korea.

“IBA Annual Conference Seoul represents Korean legal circles’ rising international clout on the global stage,” Yulchon Managing Partner Yoon Hee-woong said.

Lawyers of Yulchon have taken senior positions at IBA. Yulchon’s head of corporate and finance practice Son Do-il has been vice chair of the IBA Technology Law Committee. Ben Hur, who heads Yulchon’s finance practice group, is also an officer of IBA Securities Law Committee.
