Shinsegae International announced on Sept. 30 that it will start selling its cosmetics brand Vidi Vici at Singapore’s Changi Airport from Oct. 1.

According to airline reviewing and rating website Skytrax, Changi Airport has been ranked No. 1 for six consecutive years and over 65.6million people used that airport last year.

The products will be sold near T1 Main Central area at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport in Singapore.

According to the company, Vidi Vici’s popularity in China, mainly from Chinese influencers, provided the company an opportunity to tap into the Southeast Asian market.

“Chinese tourists who travel around the world are continuously increasing, and their influence is also spreading to duty-free stores in Southeast Asian countries,” a Shinsegae International official said in a statement. “We will continue to have a two-track strategy of selling our products on both Chinese platforms like Tmall and Xiaohongshu and also global duty-free outlets to make Vidi Vici a global brand.”

Meanwhile, the Shinsegae affiliate is also currently preparing to start selling Vidi Vici at duty-free store DFS in Hong Kong.

Shinsegae International also added that it aims to start selling its products in four different overseas duty-free stores in Asia by the end of this year.
