The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea co-hosted an event Tuesday in Seoul with Palo Alto Networks to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the digital landscape and revolutionizing cybersecurity strategies.

The event "Ignite on Tour Korea CxO" served as a platform for industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of cybersecurity and share security strategy insights while showcasing how Precision AI, an AI tool from Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, is driving groundbreaking advancements in security.

The company is known for enabling secure digital transformation for enterprises worldwide.

“Today, companies around the world stand at a pivotal moment in AI innovation, requiring more comprehensive and proactive approaches to cybersecurity to meet the demands of this transformation,” said Park Sang-kyu, Country Manager of Palo Alto Networks Korea.

“I look forward to continuing to foster global cooperation in cybersecurity,” he added, expressing gratitude to AmCham and their partners for bringing the collaboration to life.

Simon Green, president of Palo Alto Networks JAPAC, also offered a forward-looking perspective on emerging trends and opportunities in the industry.

“This event underscores the critical need to rethink how we safeguard our organizations and societies in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats,” AmCham Chair and CEO James Kim remarked.

Kim said he prided himself on collaborating with Palo Alto Networks, which fostered idea exchange, inspired solutions for enhancing ties between the United States and South Korea, and brought the global community together to build a safer digital future.

Justin Chang, Federal Bureau of Investigation Legal Attache of the US Embassy in Seoul, also stressed the need for collaboration among industry leaders to address the challenges of the evolving digital landscape.

“As highlighted by the FBI, the growing misuse of generative AI technologies, such as deepfakes, underscores the urgent need for vigilance and proactive cybersecurity measures,” he said.

Following the presentations, the AmCham chief moderated a fireside chat. Two presenters from Palo Alto Networks attended to continue an in-depth discussion on how AI and innovative strategies enable organizations to stay ahead in the cybersecurity landscape.
